Hi, I’m Kay Alton, a licensed therapist, mom, and wife. I provide in person and virtual therapy statewide in Washington & Oregon and specialize in helping teens, moms, couples, and families navigate life’s most challenging seasons. My approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and deeply informed by both professional expertise and lived experienceβ€”including my own journey through postpartum depression, marriage and parenting.

Therapy Services

Individual Therapy

I offer personalized therapy to help you navigate stress, trauma, and life transitions. I specialize in working with moms and teens.
My approach combines:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Effective, short term relief of trauma and PTSD symptoms

  • CBT & DBT: Practical tools for managing emotions

  • Somatic & Mindfulness Practices: Reconnecting with your body

  • Flexible support: short-term (6–12 sessions) or long-term trauma therapy

Couples Therapy (PACT)

I’m trained in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy), a powerful, science-based model that helps couples quickly rebuild safety, trust, and connection.

  • Conflict resolution & communication support

  • Healing betrayal or disconnection

  • Couples on the brink of separation/divorce decisions

  • Usually 3–6 focused therapy sessions to see results

Family Therapy

I use a restorative justice framework to help families truly hear one another. I meet with each family member individually for therapy before bringing the family together so everyone feels safe, seen, and understood.

I bring over 15 years of Director-level program development experience to help organizations clarify their vision, set actionable goals, and create sustainable systems. My approach combines data-driven insight with a deep understanding of human dynamics, making strategic plans both practical and people-centered.

As a licensed therapist and organizational consultant, I specialize in helping teams and leaders navigate conflict, burnout, and organizational change through a trauma-informed lens. I work with HR departments, leadership teams, and staff to create healthier workplaces where individuals feel supported, valued, and equipped to thrive.
